Most wine lovers have never tasted Petrus. It is one of the most sought after, highly prized, rare, and expensive of all the Bordeaux. If you are fortunate enough to own a bottle, you will most likely wait for an incredibly special occasion to open it. We have never known anyone who had the opportunity to taste a fifteen-year vertical that covers six decades. You have that opportunity.
Five couples will have a once in a lifetime chance to be hosted by Wine Collector Extraordinaire, Mr. Dave Page. The evening will start with some great Champagne at Daniel Boulud’s Café Boulud in Palm Beach. You will then sit for seven courses, each paired with two vintages of Petrus served side-by-side. This could be Nirvana.
“No one will be drinking better than you on that night!”
Dave Page, Donor
But wait… there’s more!
Chateau d’Yquem is undeniably the finest Sauternes in the world. Still a Bordeaux, this white wine undergoes Botrytis or “Noble Rot” to develop it’s incredibly unique style. Grapes for Chateau d’Yquem are harvested one-by-one with multiple passes through the vineyard each day selecting only the grapes that are perfect. The wines are heavenly. Once you taste an old bottle, you will never be the same. These wines are so special and so rare, you will probably never see them again. You will be drinking history, and it will be mind-blowing!
The day following the Petrus Dinner, you will join Dave for lunch. Once again at Café Boulud. Your lunch will be paired with eight vintages of Chateau d’Yquem beginning with 1919 and including the legendary 1929 and 1959. These wines are so special and so rare, you will probably never see them again. You will be drinking history, and it will be mind-blowing! We are honored and grateful that Dave is sharing this amazing collection with us.
